Why We Serve through Missions...

Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).  For this reason, we seek to help people throughout the world become disciples of Jesus.

Jesus also taught us to “let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).  So we participate in mission efforts to serve those in need so that, by our good deeds, they will give praise to God.

Through missions we fulfill these commands of Jesus, interact with people from other cultures for our own spiritual growth, and help the poor in various parts of the world.

Missions Ministries
We provide monthly support to Paul and Janet Kee, missionaries working with the Nso’ tribe in Cameroon, Africa.

Our congregation is the sponsoring church for this ministry, providing spiritual oversight and monthly support.  We also provide volunteer support through work here in the U.S. and mission trips to Honduras.  This ministry serves special needs children near Trujillo, Honduras, and works to connect the people of that region to local churches.

We provide monthly support this ministry to orphans and families in New Mexico.  NMCCH offers a home for orphans, foster care and adoption services, Christian counseling, and assistance for struggling single mothers and their children.

From time to time we support selected missions with special, annual contributions or with short-term financial support.  Click the link above to read about our support of Micah Powless, Life Choices of Yakima, and Love INC of Yakima.
